Assessment Report of the Muzaffargarh Tahsil of the Muzaffargarh District

1924

2. The rainfall of the tahsil like the rainfall of the whole of this part of the Punjab is exeeedingly capricious and scanty. [...] The cost of the well is the same as in the area under fixed assessment and it is simplest to accept the Setlement Officer's proposal to allow a remission of the land revenue assessed on the crops irrigated by the well up to a limit of Rs. [...] THIS tahsil is bounded on the north by the K Mu Tahsil on the south by the Alipur Tahsil on the east by the Shujabad and Multan Tahsils and on the west by the Dera Ghazi Shan Distriot. [...] The end of the long strip towards the north however has Kabirwala Tahsil of the Multan District on the east Shorkot Tahsil of the Jhang District on the north and Leiah Tahsil to the west. [...] The dates in the Tahsil are the best in the district and therefore in the province.
