June 1st 1929 the rules in the Civil Service Regulations the Appendices to the Civil Service Regulations the Fundamental and the Supplementary Rules will cease to apply to the Government servants to whom the rules in this Code apply except to the extent explained in the following paragraph. [...] Special pay means an addition of the' nature of pay to the emoluments of post or of a Government servant granted in considertion of— (a) the specially arduous nature of the duties ; or (b) a specific addition to the work or responsibility ; or (c) the unhealthiness of the locality in which the work is performed. [...] NOTE.—Vhen a temporary post is created which may have to be filled by a person not already in Government service the pay of the post shall be fixed with reference to the minimum that is necessary to secure the services of a person capable of discharging efficiently the duties of the post. [...] A Government servant who owing to the nature of his duties occupies a Government residence for a part only of the year shall pay for the period of his occupation the rent of the residence calculated in accordance with the provisions of rule 113. [...] -of his emoluments for the whole period during which he occupies any one of the residences in the course of the financial year or (ii) the full rent [whether it be the standard rent or the rent fixed Under rule 113(d)] of each of the residences occupied by him in the course of the financial year during the period of such occupation ; whichever is less.27 SECTION III.—HONORARIA.
