[...] I have submitted your letters of the 4th and 6th Insant to Queen Alexandra and am desired by Her Majesty to ask you to convey to the members of the Calcutta Literary Society Her Majesty's thanks for their kind mesage of sympathy upon the Anniversary of the death of His late Majesty King Edward and also for their expresions of condolence upon the death of the Duke of Argyll.
