And in order to regulate and control the work of the supervisors prperly instructions have been issued to the effect that in the beginning of every month the departmental officer in charge of the circle should hold a conference of the supervisors in the office of the Cetral Bank at which the chief salaried officer of the Central Bank and if posible the Secretary of the Central Bank sho [...] During the year under rport attention was generally paid to the realisation of the outstandings and the assistance of the departmental officers was placed at the disposal of the socities for the purpose. [...] The Goverment of Bengal have in the meanwhile been pleased to come to the aid of the movement by guaranteeing with the approval of the Government of India a cash credit up to rupees thirty lakhs from the Imperial Bank of India in favour of the Bengal Provincial Coperaive - Bank. [...] The fall was largely due to the lowering of the rate of purchase by the Milk Union in view of the fall in the general market. [...] 6 506 during the year but the security of many of the loans outstanding has been affected by the fall in the price of land and also by the gradual restriction of the area licensed for the cultivation of ganja which has deprived the borrowers of the source of income on which the bank mainly relied for repayment.
