The Cutta ck-Saml)alpur road maintained by the Government passes in the heart of the State from the east to the west the portion of the road lying in this State is 16 miles long. [...] The income of the state raised from 64987/—to 86827/—and after clearing the heavy debts performing the marriage and the domestic ceremonies completing the Settlement strengthening the establishments by the grant of suitable pay and improving the material condition of the state the cash balance left in the treasury amounted to more than fifty thousand rupees. [...] For this he reports of the village affairs at the Station or out post every week is responsible for the peace of the 'village and for reporting of the offences helping the State officers while in the interior watches the property of the villagers and atends at headquarter son ceremonial -occasions. [...] Of the chief of the family the 6th Raja Nanda Deb obtained the title of Maharatha from the Puri Raja the 10th Raja Bridaban Singh got the title of Narendra and the 15th Raja Radhakant Singh got the title of Mardaraj jagadeb which title still continues in the family. [...] On the completion of the minority the chief has been formarly installed on the Gadi on the 20th October by the Commissioner of the Division who spoke highly of the chief whief while installing him.
