2. In many of the villages regular groves of mangoes specially on the northern side of the State in the villages by the side of the river Tikra are to be met with and Mahua and Char trees are common. [...] Rundi Puja—In the month of Margasir on ' some Friday all the Sudhas of the State gather together in a village named Luburi which is called the original place of the Sudha Descendants migrated to different parts of the State and the males and females remain dead-drunk the whole day and night and dance and sacrifice a i goat to the deity and spend the day in feasting. [...] But if the condition of the land be improved at the expense of the State then the rent may be enhanced in proportion to the improvement effected. [...] He is remunerated by the State by a percentage amounting to 15 p. c. of the collection of the revenue and 30 per cent of the rent of all the new cultivation after 5 years of the breaking of the lands during the currency of the Settlement. [...] 5. The Gountia abides himself to the State under the conditions contained in the following Kabuliyat which he bas executed for a term of 15 years hence during the currency of the Settlement:— Terms of the Kabuliyat (i)—During the term of 15 years of the Patta I will collect the rent according to the Jamabandi Ekpadia given to me and after having deducted from it my malikana (collection charge at
