The Resident will be glad to resubmit the proposal to the Government of Bombay on your intimating the acquiescense of the Darbar to the conditions named by the shareholders of Jetpur. [...] 13012 dated the 23rd August 1904 relative to the proposal of the Darbar for the laying of a mono-rail on the edge of the existing metalled road in Jetpur limits for the purposes of a Tramway I have the honor to inform you that the Government of Bombay who were addressed state that the shareholders of Jetpur withdraw their claim to compensation on the ground of loss to the cartmen who ply their [...] The notice should be entered in the agreement and the reasons for the removal should be bona file and not at the sole discretion of Jetpur i. e. they should be to the satisfaction of the Agent to the Governor. [...] 2. In view to provide labour to the poor people residing in the Amreli Mahals His Highness' Government propose to undertake the construction of the proposed Khajadia-AmrelChhalala Railway on the Metre-gauge system I request therefore the favour of your moving the Government of India in view to their allowing His Highness' Government to undertake the construction of the line.
