8. Population.—The opening of the two railways—the closeness of the headquarters of the Sone Canal System—the fact that Sasaram is the heaquarters of a large subdivision--and the opening of two Munsif's Courts where the civil suits of Bhabua and Sasaram subdivisions are heard have all contributed to the increase of the town and to its congestion. [...] The recess work was carried on under the close supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Survey who devoted much of his time to the checking of Tarmims in the records and the extraction of areas and drawing work. [...] Two sets of Demand Registers one for the rent receivers and the other for the occupiers were prepared in compliance with the written request of the municipal commissioners who suggested that /- of the cost should be realised from the actual occupiers of the plots and / from the rent receivers. [...] It is hereby notified that from the 1st April 1869 the provisions of the Act will be in force in the undermentioned town in the district of Shahabad within the limits specified below :— 7'own of Sasaram.—Bounded on the north by the Grand Trunk road on the south by the Kudra river on the east by a line drawn through Mirza Matbar Tanks and Sager Tank and thence to the Tilauthoo road down to the D [...] 4964 dated the 11th August 1898 declaring the intention of the Lieutenant-Governor to revise the boundaries of the Sasram Municipality in the district of Shahabad was published at page 147 Part IB of the Calcutta Gazette of the 17th idem and whereas no objetion has been raised to the proposal it is hereby notified for general iformation that in accordance with the recommendation of
government politics public policy
