5 To the head-quarters of.cads cornmand will be attached a chief commissariat officer Ecr the administrati IC duties (supply and 1:rasport) of all the on nmissariat stations within the command and for the executive charge of the head-quarters station of the command. [...] Probationer': duties.—Having successfully passed the prelminary test and ha7ing been appointed a probationer in the deparment ' the officer will under the orders of the commissary-general proceed at the public expense to join one of the first class executive charges for six months for the purpose of learning the executive duties of the department. [...] the commissioned grades of the commissariat-transport department of the three presidencies will be submitted by the commissary-genral-in-chief to the secretary to government of India in the miitary department accompanied by a certificate that the officer whose prmotion is recommended is physically fit for service in cantonments and in the field. [...] Madras and Bombay the intimation will be furnished direct by commissariegeneral to the officers concerned A copy of the intimation will at the same time be sent by the commissary-general in-chief and the commissaries-general Madras and Bombay to the pay examiner. [...] while on tour will be countersigned by the commissary-general and those of the commissariat officers in the command will be supported by the order of the chief ccmmssariat officer or in the absence of such order by the countersignature of the chief commissariat officer.
