11 (G) An investigation of a model of the Madhopur Pocket to determine the effect of construction of spurs on the right bank of the river on the subsidiary Bela and on the river conditions in the pocket.. 12 II. [...] In order to determine the future course of the river and also the possible methods of protection of the left bank near the Western Bein a model of the river Beas for a length of about 8 miles was examined. [...] The observations made on the prototype above"8 aftfr the construction of the spur showed that the reach of the river to the weir was much improved. [...] (F) An investigation of the model of the Paninad Headworks and river upstream of the works to determine the effect of regulation on the oblique approach of the river to the left pocket Results obtained on this model up to April 1942 were reported in the last year's Annual Report. [...] After those experiments were completed the Chief Egineer ordered that effect of the alteration in the regulation at the weir on the swirl formation at the nose of the divide wall and the reformation of the scrapped.
