Government of Bombay Legal Department: Local Rules and Orders Under Enactments Applying Exclusively to Bombay

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 sub-section (4) of the Lepers Act 1898 (III of 1898) the Governor with the concurrence of the Minister is pleased to apply the said Act to the following areas in the Dharwar District with effect from the 1st April 1924 :— AREAS IN THE DHARWAR DISTRICT. [...] 4) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 1 of the Lepers Act 1898 (HI of 1898) the Government of Bombay (Transferred Departments) are pleased to apply the said Act to the local area of the Municipal Borough of Pandharpur in the Sholapur District with effect from the 1st November 1931. [...] In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Lepers Act S. 3. 1898 (III of 1898) the Governor in Council is pleased to appoint the Leper Asylum at Hindalge in the Belgaum Taluka of the Belgaum District to be a Leper Asylum for the purposes of the said Act and to specify the following as the local areas from which lepers may be sent to the said asylum namely :— (1) AREAS IN THE BELGAU [...] 3 of the Lepers Act 1898 (III of 1898) the Government of Bombay (Transferred Deparments) are pleased to appoint the Leper Asylum at Pandharpur maitained by the Municipal Borough of Pandharpur to be the Leper Asylum for the purposes of the said Act to which lepers from the local area of the Municipal Borough of Pandharpur may be sent. [...] 3 k 5. In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 and 5 of the Lepers Act 1898 (III of 1898) the Governor in Council is pleased to appoint the institutions mentioned in column 1 of the subjoined table to be leper asylums for the purposes of the said Act to specify the local areas10 LEPERS ACT 1898 3 & 5. sent to the asylum and to constitute for the asylum the Board indicated in column 3
