Of the 47 new students admitted 29 were natives of the Bombay Presidency 11 of the Central Provinces 1 of the Punjab 2 of Mysore 1 of Madras Presidency 1 of Ceylon and 2 of the Federated Malay Straits. [...] Of the former 3 were awarded to new students in Class A and 1 to a student in class B. The Commissioner in Sind sent two scholars one of which left the College soon after the commencement of the term. [...] 9. The Laboratory.—Practical instruction in laboratory methods was given to the final year students.8 The following table shows the number of specimens received and examined during the year :— Nature of disease suspected. [...] The increase is mainly due to the greater prevalence of Foot and Mouth disease which was fairly widespread in the Southern Division during the latter part of the year. [...] The Report deals with the Equine diseases scheduled under the Glanders and Farcy Act within the Town and Island of Bombay Bandra Municipality and Bombay Harbour and with the work performed under the Live-stock Importation Act.
