1 to be Moved from the Chair: -- This Conference is of opinion that in view of the broad statesmanship foresight and sympathy which has characterised the regime of H E. The Right Hon'ble Sir Leslie Wilson the extension of the tenure of his appointment as Governor of the Bombay Presidency is essential especially at this juncture when important changes are in contemplation and therefore resolves [...] The Conference ended amidst great enthusiasm and the delegates and visitors left Poona with renewed energy and incentive to further the progress of the Muslim education both male and female in the right direction and the Conference gave the Teachers a chance to meet and discuss their sphere of work in the cause of Muslim education. [...] He outlined the usefulness of the Conference and the kind feelings they had towards the Members of Government and other leading people for the way in which they had all come foward to help He thanked all those who rendered every service to make the Conference a success and ended by thanking all for giving him an opportunity of doing his bit for the Muslim Community in general and the Muslim ed [...] I would only state that it should be the aim of the organisers of such institutions to keep the public at large well-informed of the results achieved during each year by the activities of each Session so as to dispel misunderstanding and enlist sympathy and support for the speedier realization of the aims for which such Conferences stand 3. Now I turn to the subject of Education. [...] What appears to me to be of utmost importance in regard to the spread of Primary fliducation is the fact that it is not only essential that steps should be taken to ensure the dissemination of instruction as broad-cast as possible but also that the subsequent lapse into illiteracy of a large proportion of the children who have not proceeded beyond the stage of the theee ll's should he caref ally
