Orianne of the Dattaka Chandriki and a treatise on the Hindu law of succes.sioen was published at Paris in 1844.—Translations foin the Chapters of the MitasharA treating of the course of procedure of the Rules of Evidence and trial by ordeal were made by Mr. [...] Morley justly observes that it leaves little to be desired as far as regartjs the Hindu law of the South of India whilst the clearness of arrangement the aptness of the illustrations and the elegance of its diction well entitle it to a place by the side of the commentary of Blackstone. [...] Morley are of five descriptions ; I.
