Trilochandasa raises the same question and then answers it by saying the Yritti and Vy(ikhyrt mean the same work of Durga in explanation of the rules of Sarvavarman. [...] Ile is also the author of Prabha a commentary on the S'abda-kaustubha of Bliattoji consisting of scholia on Panini and likewise of Lagliu-bhushana-kanti a commentary on the Vydkarana-thUshana-sara which is an abridgement of the Vyakaranbhushana of Fonda Bhatta by Ilariballablm on the syntactical and philosophical structures of the Sanskrit language. [...] This is one of the three great commentaries on the S'iddlilintKaumudi of Bhattoji Dikshita ; the first being the Manoramfi or PraudhamanoramA by the same author containing notes on his own work ; the second the present work by Ja(mendra Sarasvati ; and the third the S'abdendti-s'ekhara by Ntiges'a or Niigo.ji-bhatta with his (Lagh n) abridgement of the same.
