P. Paranjpye.) (1) An orange garden at Baramati in the Poona District was investigated in September 1912 at the request of the owner to determine the cause for the flowers falling from the trees. [...] The following experment was suggested :- (1) Half the plantation to get double the waterings of the other half from the time of appearance of flowers till the fruits were gathered. [...] The symptoms of the disease were the yellowing of leaves dying of branches and finally death of the whole tree. [...] The only possible remedy the washing ont of the salt was not applied and hence the state of the garden is hopeless. [...] The instructions given in June 1913 were to remove the fresh shoots arising from the base of the vine stems to clean the plot and to water regularly.
