However the trend of the conclusions are as follows :— Experiment 1—(a) Furrow " irrigation seems to be superior to the " ring " irrigation the yield of the former being nearly four times of that of the latter. [...] The plan of the layout as prepared and approved by the Imperial Council of Agricultural Research is given in Appendix VIII also indicates the yield of the individual plants for the year 1942-43. [...] The arrangement of the nine experimental plants has been done on the advice of the Agricultural Commisioner with the Government of India."6 The trees on the whole are doing well but some of them are very poor yielders.
