Annual Report of the Citrus Fruit Research Station Sambalpur Orissa for the Year 1940-41

The materials for this experiment will be obtained from various 'Horticulturists concerned in consultation with the Agricultural Commissioner with the Government of India; as this forms a part of the co-operative experiments to be carried on in the provinees of 'Punjab Central Provinces Assam and Orissa. [...] The plan of the experiment which was chalked out and approved by the Imperial Council of Agricultural Research in 1939 has been slightly modified this year on the recomendation of Dr. [...] Application of manures.—Last year the following fertilsers were applied to both experimental and guard-row trees in the last week of June and first week of July except the Nitrogen half the dose of which was given at the end of February 1941 soon after flowering and the other half with the other fertilisers :- (1) Nitrogen at 60 lb. [...] The plan of the experiment is given below : The following treatments are being given to the expermental trees and all the guard-row trees are being treated With Farm Yard Manure at the rate of 1 md per tree (1) Farm Yard Manure with Ring Irrigation at 60. [...] The Agricultural Commissioner with the Government of India has suggested the shifting of the trials to a more favourable area in the Sambalpur Farm and steps are being taken in accordance with his advice.
