[...] —Sometime back an investigation was completed at the Laboratory with a view to studying the effect on the strength of fibres and the incidence of growth of fungoid and bacteria in the Broach cotton of storage under different conditions of humidity. [...] Measurements have been made on fibre properties and the amount of moisture present in the kapas before ginning and in the lint after ginning on the quality of the ginned lint and the consumption of power during the process of ginning etc.
