The Annual Administration Report of the Dhrol State For the Year 1921-22 St 1977-78

On the occasion of the death of His Highness the Maharana of Dharampur and his Rani Saheba deputations were sent from here for condolence and another deputation was also sent there on the installation ceremony of the present Maharana Saheb with poshak ; similary a deputtion was sent to Lakhtar on the occasion of the death of the Rani Saheb of the Thakore Saheb of Lakhtar. [...] The arrangement of the Revenue Officers remains the same as in the previous year the Head of the department being called the Revenue Commissioner under whom there are two Vahivatdars one in charge of Dhrol and the other of Sarpdad Mahal 19. [...] The question of introducing vighoti system was fully considered but the illiteracy and conservative habits of our cultvators their harmful but unavoidable and unfortunately constant subjection to the ways of the Sahukar the peculiar nature of the soil the absence of railway facilities which would make them independent of local merchants and open wider field for their produce the partial reve [...] The State Karbhari's Court holds the power of the Sessions that of the highest judicature being the Hazur Court. [...] The out-turn of the grain and wheat was 12 annas in the rupee and the product of sugar candy and the til was fair.
