The Registrar of the University should be addressed with a view to giving effect to the wishes of the subscribers in regard to the Felloship which it is proposed to found and the Director of Public Instrution should be requested to take steps in communication with the Acountant General to invest the sum of Rs. The correspondence should be placed on the Editor's table ; and when the arrangements are completed the proceedings will be reported to Her Majesty's Secretary of State who will be requested to commnicate to His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh the means taken by the Chiefs and Sirdars of the Deccan and Southern Maratha Country to commemorate his visit to Bombay. [...] But why should the former be examined before the latter ? I rather think that the latter should receive the prfereoce because the latter will be the poorer of the two sections of canddates and the greater partof them will be from the Mofussil. [...] 2.
