that in summons-cases and in cases (other than summons-cases) in which the evidence is not taken down in writing by the Magistrate the Magistrate shall make a memorandum of the substance of the evidence of each witness as the examination of the witness proceeds. [...] Section 356 of the Code of Criminal Procedure requires that the evidence of each witness shall be taken down in writing by or in the presence and hearing and under the personal direction and superintendence of the Magistrate. [...] I soirinnly affirm in the presence of Almighty God that the evidence which I shall give to the Court and the jury touching the 'natters in question between our Sovereign.Lady the Queen and the prisoner at the bar shall be the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. [...] IV.2When any case comes before the High Court for the exer cise of its powers of revision the Junior Government Pleader shall forward to the Magistrate of the District a 'copy of the grounds on which revision is sought and the Magistrate as soon as possible after its receipt shall if he desire the appearance of the Junior. [...] ( 10 ) The District Magistrate is required to submit to the High Court annually by the 15th of April a return in the following form showing the process-fees levied and remitted during the previous financial year in the Courts of all the Magistrates in his district and to forward a duplicate of the return to the CoMmisioner of Stamps North-Western Provinces and Ondh —Circular Orders Nos.
