IV.—STATEMENT showing the ARTICLES of which the export to British territory is prohibited by order of the Governor of Kandahar and the Tax levied on them before the prohibtion... [...] The import and export land trade of the Province of Sind and British Baluchistan across the British frontier with the outlying foreign territories viz. [...] In the case of the import trade the senders of gdods are required to declare the country of origin at the time of booking the goods by rail. [...] " The figures speak for themselves and clearly indicate the opportunity that the war has-given of capturing a large trade with the norteast of Persia and the west of Afghanistan. [...] " Towards the end of the year the Sarhaddi tribes from the Persian border harassed the route from Amalaf to Merui raiding six Kafilas at Amirchah and other placeS in that vicinity and spreading such' consternation on the road that several Kafilas returned to Nushki and refused to undertake the journey.
