THE last Catalogue of the Adyar Library was finished in 1928. [...] The present list gives barely the name of the work and the subject under which the work comes. [...] There is no mention of the number of the manuscripts for a particular work available in the Library the script in which it is written its condition and other details. [...] Descriptive Catalogue of the manuscripts and who completed the volume for the Vedic manuscripts left the Library to take up his new position as Curator of the Anup Sanskrit Library Bikaner and Vyd.karana S'iromani V. Krishnamcharya who retired from the Services of the Government of Madras as Pandit in the Presidency College was appointed to the vacant place.
