Administration Report of the Modasa Municipality for the Year 1934-35

SIR have the honour to submit the annual Administration Report of the Modasa Municipality for the financial year 1934-35 as under— HEAD I Changes in boundaries and population: — The area of the municipal limits is 283 acres and 8 gunthas and the population is 8819 (466o mehomadans + 4159 non-mehomadans) according to the last census of 1931. [...] As there was a heavy rainfall this year the rivers and the tanks are full of water even though the summer is at the end.10 HEAD XI Education.— The ratio of students in the municipal schools to the t otal population is 10-8. [...] Paragraph 2 (iv).—The sanction of the Commissioner Northern Division to the modification of the schedule of Sanitary Cess in respect of the method of calculation of pies adopted by the Board’s resolution No 93 of 7th March 1926 has yet to be obtained. [...] As these orders do not specifically authorize the levy of the tax from 1st April 1933 the sanction of the Commssioner Northern Division to the recovery of the tax at the revised rates already made from 1st April 1933 will have to be obtained. [...] 14-2-3 only were purchased and that the purchases were made after the drawal of the money and not before as certfied by the Medical Officer on the bills The difference of Rs.
