[...] the Statements connected with the Jamabundy of Statements noted in the margitif ehibiting the number of Civil Suits instituted and disposed of and the list of off inces and of individuals tried in the several Courts of the Country from the 1st of May 1858 to the 30th of April 1859 and also the official year 1858-59. [...] There is a net decrease in the amount of remission made on acdount dikaudon of waste land brought under cultivation of Rupees S68-1-8.(367) [Coorg.] The amount of remission on this account last year was Rupees 5 918-11-1; of this sum Rupees 1 512-9.40 has been added to the revenue of this year on account of privileged lands having been brought to the full and higher rates of assessment agreeably [...] The sum of Rupees 636-5-1 has also been deducted from the amount of last year’s remission on account of 9 4674 butties 124 holagahs and 2 moodies of wet Land and 17 fields of dry land having been thrown up by the cultivators making a total of Rupees 2 14S-14-11 to he deducted from the amount of last year’s remission leaving a balance of Rupees 3 769-12-2 on that account for this year. [...] The total quantity of waste land brought into cultivation this year for which the whole assessment is remitted is 12 9381 butties 164 holagahs and 14 moodies of wet land and 1101 fields of dry land assessed at Rupees 1 280-13-3 which sum added to the balance of last year makes a total of remission on account of waste lands amounting to Rupees 5 050-9-5.
