The outturn of the principal crops in the Presidency was good and prices ruled high throughout the year much to the benefit of the cultivators. [...] consulted on the subject and the necessary notification under the Indian Presidency Towns Act 1815 has been issued since the close of the year with the approval of the SeCretary of State for India. [...] The question of assimilating the rates of pay of the Jailor establishment in force in Eastern and Western Bengal engaged the attetion of Government during the year and a scheme for the reorganization of the Jailor service was submitted to the Government of India. [...] The institutions in the Appellate Side of the High Court were greater than in 1911 and although there was a considerable increase in the number of cases decided the arrears were in excess of those of the preceding year. [...] Owing to the passing of the new Co-operative Societies Act 191 (II of 1912) and the reconstitution of the Provifiee new rules under section.43 of the Act were framed for the Presidency of Bengal.
