Government of India. Report on an Enquiry into the Family Budgets of Industrial Workers in Sholapur City

According to the arrangements arrived at with the Provincial Governments it was decided that 50 per cent of the cost on account of the staff in the Provinces should be borne by the Provincial Governments concerned while the remaining cost of the Scheme including the cost of the headquarters staff should be borne by the Government of India. [...] The Commissioner of Labour Bombay was in general charge of the family budget enquiries conducted in the Province of Bombay while one of the Assistant Commissioners of Labour was in direct charge of the Sholapur enquiry.
