The important heads of revenue and expenditure under Civil Administration comprise of :- (a) General Administration—The expenditure recorded under this head relates chiefly to headquarters administration and also to the cost of district administration the salaries and other allowances of the GovernoGeneral of heads of Provinees of members of Executive Council of ministers and of advisers. [...] The expenditure relating to the audit of the transactions of the Manufacturing Branch of the Salt Setions of the Central Excises and Salt Departments Northern India the Railway and Posts and Telegraphs Departments is recorded initially under this head and transferred subsequently to the working expenses of these Departments. [...] The expenditure consists chiefly of the pay of the Judges of Civil and Criminal courts Magistrates and of the establishments with some charges on account of Administrators-General and Law Officers of the several Provincial Governments. [...] The expenditure consists mainly of the cost of the civil veterinary departments and veterinary education and the expenditure on the maintenance of veterinary hospitals and dispesaries and of breeding operations.
