In the case of modulus of rigidity the thermo-dynamical reasoning shows that the isothermal and the adiabatic modulii should be equal whereas in the case of Young's modulus the modulii must be different the ratio depending upon the temperature coefficient of expansion and other factors such as stress etc. [...] 4. The ratio of the number of HSO4 radicals to that of SO in the acid is greater than in that of a busulphate solution of the same normality. [...] Of the other factors involved in the transmission of malaria mention may be made of the age of the gametocytes and their number in the peripheral blood and the kind of drug that may have been used in the antimalarial treatment. [...] Thus the advantage of this method over the old methods is that the daily progress of the parasites can be studied and at the termination of each feed the full number of the parasites can be recovered without any difficulty. [...] It takes origin from the anterior margin of the ilium above the acetabulum and is inserted to the lesser trochantor of the femur.
