We the Bishops of the Church of India Burma and Ceylon on the first occasion of ouP meeting in Synod after the enactment of the Indian Chuph Measure and the Indian Church Act for the dissolution of its legal connexion with the Church of England deeming it to be a matter of no small importtime at such a turning point in the history of this Church that the faithful should be assisted to disting [...] inner nature of Got of the Godhead the Father the Son and the Spirit Whom following the tradition of the Western Church we call the three Persons' of the Trinity. [...] It has received and accepts the command to make diciples of all the nations baptising them into the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and it prays that it may ever more and more clearly exhibit in these lands the true character of the Holy Catholic Church of Christ its Lord by the power of the indwelling Spirit until He shall come again to judge the world in righteousne [...] The General Council shall deal with matters of common interest to the whole Province and with those that affect the communion of the Dioceses with one another and with the rest of the Church and shall leave the Diocesan Councils to deal with matters which concern only the members of the Church in each Diocese and the ultimate decision of the question to which of the above classes of matters any [...] the question whether the proposed alteration would have the effect of altering the meaning of any of these Declarations and if the answer of the Committee be in the affirmative the alteration shall only be made according to the procedure prescribed in this Declaration for the alteration of that or those Declarations whose meaning would be affected by the alteration of the definition.
