Not only is the European dress becoming more popular every day and the glare of the shining materialism of the West dazzling the eyes to the complete appreciation and adoption of every thing European and the discarding of things of the country but Indians lost sight of that great tradition which had kept up their society intact inspite of so many foreign invasions and conquests the love for the [...] Free education only means that the function of the imparting of education is practically free to the institution i. e. the tutors and professors are attached free to the school or the university and the nomination of the students to the institution is also practically free to the deserved candidates but the personal troubles of the tutors and the professors as also of any body else attached e [...] It is no doubt an uphill work to convince the public of the success of the Scheme of Ideal Education and to set it -up on these lines but the promoter of the scheme should be encouraged by the fact so prominently (t put forward by the history of the development of mankind and constantly experienced by nations that whad ever great work there is in any walk of life it is the result of the eff [...] In such an institution the force of the living example Sbould inspire the student with a noble ambition to emulate the learning of the learned men and to follow in the footsteps of the explorers of the new field of knowledge. [...] In the race of life the fundamental biological princple of the survival of the fittest reigns supreme and if the enthusiasm or organisation of the workers of this Scheme is crowned with success in reaching the desired goal the defective systems which are prevalent will die out of the neglect or starvation by themselves for the fOrmer willcalso turn out a sufficiently large number of the type
