The other areas disforested in this Division and in the South Ntisik and Poona Divisions consisted of lands which were more suitable for cultivation than for the growth of trees and which were required for the extension of cultivation. [...] The Reserved Forests in the Poona District which under the orders of Goverment are transferred to the management of the Revenue Department were not taken over during the year by the Collector as the necessary arrangements for dealing with them had not been made. [...] (4) Modifications in the Working Plans for the Ngsik Teak aboveghit forests and for the Anjan and Scrub jungles of the Maleemon Kalvan and Chandwad Ranges of the Ntisik District (Government Resolution Revenue Department No. [...] Government sanctioned the purchase of a traction engine and trucks for the transport of timber but the machine arrived rather too late in the season to be of use this year. [...] For reasons shown above some of the coupes were not worked ; and the construction of proposed roads and buildings was restricted owing to the curtailment of expenditure under the direction of Government.
