They are bounded by Rajpipla on the North Sagbara on the East the Anjana Khadi on the South which separates this tract from the forests of the Songhad Taluka and Mandvi Taluka of the Surat District on the West; and (c) the reserved Forests of the Vankal Tappa in the Rajpipla Division. [...] The Chief rivers in the tract are the Tapti the Puma the Ambika the Kaveri and the Mindhola. [...] The dark soils of alluvial plains are derived from the surface dacomposition products of the hills and in these the calciumOffen Separates out by accretion in beds of hydrated carbonate as Kankar " and the humiliates as disseminated clays cause the deep fissuring of the soil in the dry and expansion in the wet season mo-iv Bk E 8-1". [...] The Tapti Vaghdeoti Mindhola rivers and—Khadis and rivulets meeting them supply water to the northern parts of the Taluka ; the Jankhari and its tributaries to the central part and the Chippan Puma Ambika and the Olan rivers and their big branches to the southern portion. [...] Manwel is abundant on almost all the hills of the Songhad Taluka in the Zankhari round Of the Vyara range and in the Chunawadi round of the Unai range.
