The quotations given above from the Mtili State's letter to the Agent to the Governor and telegram to Gover10. [...] 511 dated the 7th December 1923 ( addressed to the then Agent to the Governor Kathiawar ) on the above subject I have the honour under instructions from the Government of India to enquire whether in view of the fact that the Wadhwan Sayla Tramway has already been opened for traffic and of the strong opposition of the Sayla Darbar Your Highness wishes to proceed with the proposal to constru [...] dated the 9th.Tune 1923 to the Agent to the Governor Kthiawar the Muli State submitted:— " This State has been hard hit in the matter of Railway communcation and all the efforts of the Political officers proved abortive... [...] 9. As to the proposed line being necessary for safeguarding the legitmate traffic of the Morvi Railway it is undeniable that Need for safeguarding interests of Morvi the Muli State traffic is within the sphere of my Railway and it has been enjoyed by my Railway since the day of its opening in 1887. [...] The quotations given above from the Muli State's letter to the Agent to the Governor and telegram to Govern."5 meat show the urgent public need of the proposed line.
