The Ajmere Municipalities Regulation 1886

Term of office of member of committee. [...] (1) The Chief Commissioner may remove any member of a committeif he refuses to act or becomes in the opinion of the Chief Commissioner incapable of acing or is declared insolvent or is convicted of any such offence or subjected by a Crminal Court to any such order as implies in the opinion of the Chief Commissioner a defect of character which unfits him to be a member ; (b) if he [...] —Sections 14-15) more than three consecutive months to be present at the meetings of the committee; (d) if his continuance in office is in the opinion of the Chief Commissioner dangerous to the public peace or order ; or (e) when he is a salaried officer of the Government if his continuance in office is in the opinion of the Chief Commissioner unnecessary or undesirable. [...] 20 (1) The term of office of a member of the committee elected to be chairman shall be the residue of his term of office as member. [...] (3) The term of office of a vice-chairman shall be one year : Provided that when at the time of his election as vice-chairman the residue of his term of office as member of the committee is less than one year his term of office as vice-chairman shall be the residue of his term as member.
