Indian Museum. Annual Report April 1912 to March 1913

The Trustees have the honour to submit for the informtion of His Excellency the Right :Honourable the Governor General in Council the following report on the administrtion of the Indian Museum for the year ending 31st March 1913. G. dated the 21st October 1912 re-constituting the Advisory Committee of Government Art Gallery which was amalgainated with the Art Section of the Museum in 1910 a demi-official correspondence took place between the Secretary to the Trustees and the Secr5ANNUAL REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES OF THE tary to the Government of Bengal General Department and it was agreed that the Trustees sho [...] In the latter case the cost of one gate was met by the Victoria Memorial Trustees while that of the others was provided for from the special grant for the improvement 4INDIAN MUSEUM FOR THE YEAR 1912-11 of the Museum buildings made by the Government of India in 1904. [...] (3) The raising of the grade pay of the Junior or third Gallery Assk tant to fill up the gap between this and the post of First Gallery Assistant caused by the transfer of the salary of the second Gallery Assistant to the office of tl:e Director General of Archaeology in India. [...] The library was removed in the early part of the year from the east wing and rearranged in the room in the main building that it originally occupied before the advent of the Victoria Memorial Exhibition.
