The object of this note is to derive a formula for the force in subsonic compressible flow which is the analogue of the well-known Blasius formulae in the incompressible case. [...] In the hodograph method the (p p) relation is approximated by P = A -- (1) if c is the local velocity of sound c2 = dp/dp B/p2 = cozpoz/pz (2) where co po are the values of c p at the stagnation point of the flow. [...] According to Lin the compressible flow around a closed profile is constructed as follows : Given the incompressible flow past a profile Po in the -plane described by the complex potential F(C) and the complex velocity wog dF(C) ) = the compressible c/C flow past a profile P in the z-plane is represented parametrically by the set of equations : Complex potential = W = 0+4 = F(C).. (6) wo(t) = [...] The Dirac equation as modified for the presence of a magnetic field takes the form Eik = t(cc.;— 1)+Pwitk (1) whore a and p are the well-known Dirac matrices p the momentum in energy units A the vector potential of the field E the total energy of the electron and tz = inc2 its rest energy. [...] (9) and (10) differ only in the sign of the term eHch which corresponds to the energy of the spin orientation in the magnetic field.
