To the north of it lies the famous hilly tract of the country called the Geer and to the south the Arabian sea. [...] The Somat is the most westerly of these streams and forms the western boundary of the Taluka while the Sangavadi is the most easterly. [...] from the eastern portion of the Taluka but since the establisment of a ginning factory at Kodinar in 1953 the result of the enterprise of a Parsi gentleman the produce of the neighbouring Junagad territory and chiefly cotton is carried to Bombay via Kodinar. [...] In the year 1966 the number of bullocks approaches the average the cows and buffaloes have already out-stripped the average and the ploughs nearly equal the average. [...] The Vahivatdar of this Taluka has to discharge the duties of a Port-officer at the Bundars and supervise the lighting and policing of the coast.
