Littlehailes the wording in the letter issued to the Civil Surgeon was Kindly arrange medical examination" but in the time of the present Superintendent of Education the wording in the letter issued to the Civil Surgeon was "Kindly examine the students"? [...] The instrutions or the request was sent by the Principal of the College and as I have explained in the course of my answer unfortunately it was not stated in the letter that the medical examination should be conducted by a lady doctor.
