[...] Kunwar Sir Maharaj Singh : What is the reason for the substantial decrease between the figures for 1986 and the figures for 1937 and 1938 ? The Hon'ble the Premier : The reasons for 1938 seem to have been the same as they existed in 1937 and the ball was set rolling in 1937; we do nob know the reason. [...] Kunwar Sir Maharaj Singh : Is it the intention of the Government to make an inquiry in the matter ? The Hon'ble the Premier: Dees not seem to be sufficiently serious to engage the attention of the Government. [...] Panne Lall was adverse to the allegations which were made concerning the personal safety of the Hon'ble the Minister ? The Hon'ble the Premier : I do not quite follow the question. [...] Because it may adversely affect the zamindar and because the question of the reduction of rent will be involved and also because the question of commutation of rent will be involved therefore the zamindar will quietly sit here and calmly the zamiudar will allow the Government to ride roughshod over the tenantry and charge their court-fees from the tenantry..
