[...] the Post-Graduate Department of the University was given the status of University Professor on the recommendation of the Executive Committee of the Council of Post-Graduate Teaching in Arts which was approved by the Selection Committee in view of his great scholarship his experience and his success as a teacher. [...] A set of rules governing the award of the Fellowship was adopted by the Syndicate on the recommendation of the Board of Management of the Endowment.
