1207L — 4th November 1933.—His Excellency the Governor having been pleased to order under rule 18 of the Bengal Legisltive Council Rules 1920 the publication of the following Bill together with the Statment of Objects and Reasons which accopanies it in the Calcutta Gazette the Bill and the Statement of Objects and Reasons are accordingly hereby published for general information.31 [...] AND WHEREAS the previous sanction of the Governor General has been obtained under sub-section (3) of section 80A of the Government of India Act to the passing of this Act It is hereby enacted as follows :— 1. This Act may be called the Bengal Public Demands Recovery (Amendment) Act 1933. [...] 2. In sub-section (1) of section 12 of the Bengal Public Demands Recovery Act 1913 the words “in the same district or to the Collector of any other district” shall be omitted. [...] The object of the Bill is to avoid the delay and extra work involved in the execution of a certificate in a district other than that in which it is filed. [...] In order to attain this object it is proposed to empower Certificate Officers to transmit copies of certificates for execution direct to the Subdivisional Officers in other districts instead of to the headquarters.
