576L.—27th March 1948.—The Governor haVing been pleased to order under rule 47 of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Procedure Rules the publication of the following Bill toge— ther with the Statement of Objects and Reasons which accompanies it in the Calcutta Gazette the Bill and the Statement of Objects and Reasons are accordingly hereby published for general informa— tion :— THE WEST BE [...] WHEREAS the district of Navadwip has been renamed as the district of Nadia on and from the 26th day of February 1948; AND WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal District School Boards Act 1947 in the manner hereinafter appearing; is hereby enacted as follows Short title 1 (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal District anti. [...] (Clauses 2-4.) 2. In the second preamble to the West Bengal District School Boards Act 1947 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) for the word Navadwip" the word "Nadia" shall be substituted. [...] 3. In sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act for the word "Navadwip" the word "Nadia" shall be substituted. [...] 4. In section 6 of the said Act for the word "Navadwip" the word "Nadia" shall be substituted.
