V. c. 87) hereby makes with the advice and assistance of the Civil Service Commissioners the following rules for the appointment during the year 1919 to the Indian Civil Service otherwise than by the annual Open Competition which will still continue to he held) of Natives of India and Burma. His Majesty the King has been graciously pleased to approve of the award of the Meritorious Service Medal to the following Warrant Officers Non-Commissioned Officers and Men in recognition of valuable services rendered with the British Army of the Black Sea:- INDIAN ARMY. [...] The King has been graciously pleased to give orders for the following promotions in and appointments to the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in recognition of valuable services rendered in connection with the war.
