6335.—The Governor-General in Council is pleased to sanction the following amendments of the rules for the guidance of depositors in Post Office Saving's BankSi published with the Resolution of the Government of India in the Department of Commerce and Industry No. [...] The following special conditions govern the opening of the conjoint accounts specified below and their transactions :- (a) The Commanding Officer of a unit may open a single acconet with the Post Office Savings Bank on account of the men or followers of his unit making his own arrangments about the separate accounts of the individuals and about the distribution to them of the interest credited [...] The notice must specify the amount to be withdrawn and be given one month in advance by means of an ordinary letter addressed to the postmaster which should specify the date on which it is intended to make the withdrawal and if it is intended to.withdraw the amount in two or more instalments specific information must be given in the notice as to the number of instalments and the amount and dat [...] (3) The result of sale will be intimated to the investor by the Accountant-Genera l through the postmaster concerned with the least possible delay after the receipt of the application. [...] 3. Date of giving efect to the new scales of play.—The Committee have recommended that the new scales of pay together with the local allowances proposed in certain districts in the Central Circle should he introduced from the 1st December 1919 in view of the fact that revision of pay of the Telegraph Department was introduced from that date and the Government of India have decided to accept this
