Amendment of long title and preamble Act XVIII of 1940.— In the long title and preamble of the National Service (European British Subjects) Act 1940 (hereinafter referred to as the said rAct) for the words in the armed forces of or in a civil capacity under the Crown " the following words shall be substituted namely :— " in the armed forces of the Crown and in civilian emploment ". 3.
