C207 The Calcutta Gazette Extraordinary Published by Authority TUESDAY JULY 4 1939 PART I Orders and Notifications by the Governor of Bengal the High Court Government Treasury etc. [...] —Whereas Jie district board of Jessore has by a resolation passed at a special meeting held on the 30th June 1939 applied under section 28 of the Bengal Local Self-Goverment Act of 1885 (Bengal Act III of 1885) for the; removal of Manly' Waliur Rahman from his office as Chairman of the said district hoard on the ground that he has been found to be guilty of the following charges of persiste [...] conducting the proceedings of the ditrict board in contravention of the rules on the subject; silencing of opposition by arbitrarily ruling out all proposals Of members not belonging to his own party ; habitual neglect of duty'In not propely recording the proceedings of the district board meetings; not maintaining any minute book for recording proceedings of the meetings as contemplated in r [...] 2. In exercise of the power conferred by 84-section (1) of section 29 of the said Act the. [...] Governor is further pleased to appoint Maulvi Lutfar Rahman a member of the said district board to be its Chairman for a period of one year with effect from the date of publication of this notification.
