1516M.-29th July 1942.—In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (.) of section 56 of the Bengal Municipal Act 1)32 (Bengal Act XV of 1932) the Governor is pleased to extend further the term of office of the Commissioners of the Tollygunge Municipality in the district of the 24-Parganas for the period commencing frcimu the date of expiry of the term as etended by Government notificati [...] (2) The Board may delegate the power of appointment under sub-rule (1) to the Managing Committee the Chairman or the Superintendent and may specify in the order of delegation that any appointment made by the Superintendent or the Chairman shall be subject to confirmation by the Managing Committee or by the Board and that any appointment made by the Managing Committee shall be subject to confirmat [...] The pay and the allowances of any officer or servant of the Board appointed to officiate in any post under the Board shall be regulated by the rules in force from time to time regulating the pay and allowances of servants of the Crown officiating in posts in connection with the affairs of the province. [...] If the Superintendent asks for the cancellation of a cheque the cheque book containing the cheque to be cancelled shall be sent to the Chairman who will initial the fact of cancellation upon the counterfoil and upon the paper containing the written request of the Superintendent and see that the cheque is properly cancelled. [...] The date of the completion of the supply the date of the receipt of the bill and the date of payment shall be promptly noted on the office copy of the indent by the Accountant as each stage occurs.
