The Application Form used will be one of the existing SPECIAL NOTICE ASSIGNMENT A Notice was issued in Part IV of the Gazette on August the 8th 1952 stating that he power of amenment given by Section 17 of the Patents and Designs Act 1911 cannot be utilized to substitute the name of an Assignee on the Application Form in place of the name of the original Applicant. [...] Nevertheless the Office recognizes the desirability of permitting the assignee of an invention to prosecute the Patent Application and to receive the grant. [...] series according to the circumstances and will iclude the following additional information :— (i) After the title of the invention in item (i) of the Appplication Form insert the folloing :— That I am (or we are) in possession of the said invention by virtue of an assignment dated made between myself (or ourselves) as assignee on the one part and (A) as assignor on the other part. [...] (ii) Immediately prior to the final prayer clause insert the following :— I (or we) humbly pray that by virtue of the abovementioned assignment this appliction may be accorded the date namely the official date accorded to the original application and (e) The original deed of assignment authorizing B to prosecute the application and receive the grant should be submitted for inspection together [...] Sealing will be delayed until the last day and the actual substittion of the new Application Form and consequential amendment to the name in the Specification and Drawings if any will be effected in the Office but not until the last day unless the applicant requests otherwise.
